Translation Memory (TM) is a useful function for using previously translated or saved sentences.
Click the '+' button next to the list on the left side of the page.
Enter a name (maximum 30 characters) and description (maximum 90 characters) for the new translation memory (TM) and click the ‘Add’ button.
You can check the added translation memory (TM) in the list on the left side of the page.
What is Translation Memory (TM)?
A collection of previously translated sentences saved for use in localization.
Click the ‘+ Add language pair’ button in the upper right corner to add the language pair you want to use, then check the language pair created at the top.
Click the ‘Add Sentence’ button and enter the sentence you want to add accordingly. If necessary, you can also enter the source of the sentence.
Check the added sentences in the list.
Up to 3,000 sentences can be added at once through a file upload.
The sentences in the list can be viewed sorted alphabetically and by the most recent creation date.
If you need to edit or delete a sentence, click the 'Edit' or 'Delete' button on the right side of the list.
After checking the sentences you want to delete from the list, click the delete button to delete the selected sentences in bulk.
You can use the search function to find specific sentences in the list.
If the added Translation Memory (TM) already exists, confirmation by the project manager is required.
A notification will be sent to users with a manager level or higher.
Project managers can select and save sentences in the Translation Memory (TM).
You can add translation memory (TM) sentences directly in the editor.
You can add it directly by clicking the 'Register Translation Memory' button under the sentence you want to add to Translation Memory (TM) in the editor.
Upon completion of the project, all sentences (subtitles) are automatically registered in Translation Memory (TM).
This is only possible for projects with pre-set Translation Memory (TM), and the project name is saved as the source of the sentence.
Click the ‘File Upload’ button.
Download the sample file from the file upload screen.
Open the downloaded file, enter the sentences you want to add and save. (Refer to example file usage)
Upload the file containing the sentences.
If you click the Add button at the bottom, the sentences saved in the file will be added to the translation memory (TM).
Is there any rule for adding sentences?
· Sentences that have already been added cannot be added repeatedly.
· English capital and lowercase letters can be used separately.
· Empty values cannot be added.
The following cases cannot be registered when registering sentences in Translation Memory (TM).
Special characters, including subtitles for the hard of hearing (SDH), screen transcription, and non-translation (DNT)
Screen transcription - Subtitles that explain the video screen
Special characters - "((Speaker))," "[[Background and Sound effects]]," "##Screen description##"
Duplicate or conflicting sentences when uploading files after project completion (Edit)
Register by resolving duplicate or conflicting sentences.
The registered Translation Memory (TM) allows users to search for a specific word by entering the search box or directly searching.
20 sentences of Translation Memories (TM) are displayed on one page.
When you enter the word you want to find in the search box, results matching that condition will be displayed.
The bottom paging function (next/previous/enter page number) lets you find the results.
